“Death Toilet” was a concept for a decade before it was a reality. Evan Jacobs (Director), Isaac Golub (Father Dingleberry) and Mike Hartsfield (Brett Baxter) would refer to “Death Toilet” as if it was real for years until one day they made a plan with the sole purpose of having fun and spending time creating something they knew was ridiculous. The first of the series was released in 2018. 

Sadly, suddenly and unexpectedly, on the evening of April 30th, 2023, our dear friend Isaac passed away after a tragic traffic collision. Isaac was a friend to us for decades. We all met in the 1990’s. Mike and Isaac recorded albums and played shows together with their band A18. We all worked on many film projects together and helped each other tremendously throughout life, as friends do. We already miss him more than we can express and he will forever be remembered as an incredibly funny, intense, talented close friend.

“Death Toilet 5” is currently being edited. Going through the footage and outtakes has been incredibly difficult but at the same time healing for us as we remember how much fun we all had when we were together. We are so grateful to have captured Isaac’s true personality in this recent footage and can’t wait to share it with the world. Father Dingleberry will live on in the “Death Toilet” universe.

There’s the saying “Tell your friends you love ‘em”. Isaac was someone who actually did just that. Rest in Peace, Isaac Golub. We love you.
